Whilst photographing the Plain Tiger larvae on the recent Fuerteventura trip, my co-leader suddenly spotted a Striped Hawk-moth as it flew past him. The moth then started nectaring on the plants nearby, so it was a case of quickly changing tact from close up shots of the caterpillar to following the Hawk-moth and trying to get shots as it fed.
This was the first time I had ever seen this species of moth so I was pretty pleased with the results.
