Dodging The Rain.

Both Monday and Tuesday was spent trying to avoid getting too wet as the rain fell quite heavily on and off. On the Monday we walked along Glen Nevis where we saw a good number of Red Deer, Spotted Flycatcher and a very smart Whinchat. A couple of Dipper flying along the river was also good. A Common Frog was found in the vegetation near the river.

On Tuesday a trip to Allt Mhuic butterfly reserve hoping to find more Chequered Skipper and some unusual moths. Unfortunately the weather once again made it extremely unlikely that we would find anything as it was cloudy and cold!! On the way there we saw a Red Deer stag quite near the road and on our return a beautiful Black-throated Diver was on a loch. It was too far out for a decent picture, but it looked great through the binoculars.
